Sweet Pea Baby Shower Cake
This cake was ordered with the cake being a pink champagne cake. I don't know how many people would order an alcoholic cake for a baby shower, and I didn't want anyone judging the mom-to-be, so I suggested maybe another flavor... strawberry perhaps? So in the end, I did one tier strawberry and the other pink champagne. I wonder if they thought it was just pink champagne flavored, or if they knew that 2/3s of a bottle of champagne went into the cake and filling?
Close Up of Pea Pod Topper
The topper was crisped rice cereal treats covered in fondant and hand painted with food coloring. I was later told that they kept the topper and froze it, with the thought they would feed it to the baby on his 1st birthday!

I was really proud of my piping for the text, I felt it deserved it's own picture!

I used the invitation to coordinate the cake, as it made the color scheme and theme much easier to figure out!
